how to mend a overheating medion laptop?

i have a medion laptop which keeps overheating and i've cleaned the fan but it still does it!!1 someone told me it might be the heat sink nyone know????

after a amount of time the thermal paste on cpu's and gpu's becomes thinner and with alot of laptops these days they use cheap thermal paste so what i would do is to take the heatsink off clean off the old thermal paste on the heatsink and cpu and apply some new thermal paste to the cpu i would recomend you buy artic silver 5 put a pea size onto the cpu and spread it out thinly. if you are not very cofident doing this then i would not do it and get a expert to do it for you as you dont want to blow your cpu or cause more problems best of luck
