Drum fails to rotate?

I have a Hoover Quattro 1300 washer/dryer, the machine goes through all the programes adding water etc but the drum does not move. I drum moved by hand, I have even put it on the spin cycle but nothing works.

Are the motor brushes worn to excess. Look for sparking at the brush tips but if over 3 years old replace as a matter of course
