I'm having a different sound problem on Toshiba Regza. Periodically the sound cuts out for a second or two and then resumes as normal. I've tried different channels and it still occurs. I am using Verizon with Set Top Box which I had no problems with when the Samsung flat screen was connected. Is anyone else experiencing this sound problem?

This is not an answer but i am having the same problem on a Toshiba Regza 48" widescreen LCD TV whrere the sound cuts out for short periods of time. Happens on all chanels but more on others. Also it happend very frequently with Blue Ray DVD I rented
