New French upvc doors are drafty?

Our new French upvc doors are very drafty at the bottom. We have had the supplier out to fix the problem, but after they fit new doors it hasn't made any difference at all, and we struggle to lock them, and have to really yank the handle up to enable the key to turn in the lock to lock them. Anyone have any idea why they are drafty and difficult to lock?

Hi, have only just seen your answer, as I'd forgotten where I'd posted my query! Thanks for your reply. Not sure what you mean by compression on gaskets. Have tried to get window company to come back and fix the problem, as we have had problem from day one of them fitting, and they have tried to fix it several times and now the brush seal at bottom of doors in the centre where the doors meet is badly split where the lock goes through it, and they have just glued it back together, but its not stopping draught coming in at this point. Thinking we might have to get a surveyor out to check it.

If you have to yank the handle up quite hard to be able to lock the door it sounds like the lock is not lining up with the keeps on the slave door therefore it has not been set up propely not a massive problem and can be sorted by adjusting the keeps. or they have not been toe and heeled propely when they have fitted the glass.go outside and look at the top and bottom of the door leafs and make sure that both doors line through with no steps if one door is lower or higher than the other door then it is a toe and heel problem or the doors have not been fitted square. (poor Fitting)to see if the doors have benn fitted square get a spirit level and check outer frame.
with regards to the drafts can you see daylight where there should be none? when the doors are closed is there compression on the gaskets if there is very little or no compression, then the doors need adjusting on the hinges there should be a little allen key screw on the outside of the hinge which you can adjust but this will only tighten the hinge side to get more compression on the lock side you will need to again adjust the keeps on the slave door.
hope this helps.
