SDS not locking the drill bits?

I have a Hitachi DH 24DVA 24V sds super and the it's not locking the drill bits in position. Is this a common problem and can it be fixed?
If so how?

Thank you, I love my drill!!

Hi, you are using SDS drill bits? some don't always fit into the chuck too easily, you might try pulling the outer casing of the chuck back towards the drill while at the same time inserting the drill bit, now release the outer case so as to lock the bit into the chuck, you should find it clicks into place easier.
