Charging my Iitronics Ipocket MP3/MP4?

A friend gave me an Iitronics Ipocket mp4 player, I have found a usb that works for transfers but the player is not charging. Is it supposed to charge through the usb connected to a pc or do i need to get a wall plug charger?
