beko fridge freezer interior light on. fridge and freezer not cold sounds like it runs for a short time then stops

engineer called today and says I need a new door under warranty. If your light is on then the fridgefreezer will think that the door is open. You could try and stick some cellotape accross the door switch in the closed position and see if that works as a temporary measure

I have a Beko larder fridge 2 months old and suddenly found that it was not cold inside and have found using a camcorder that the light was staying on when the door was closed. on checking mounting on door which operates the switch,it was dented from the pointed edge of switch. awaiting engineer to call, in the meantime a bit of bluetack on the door mounting is switching the light off and keeping it cold again.suggest you check your door mounting as yours could also be dented.
