potterton housewarmer fault?

potterton housewarmer 45 back boiler starts normally from cold, But when it restarts the pilot is normal but the gas supply goes straight to main flow not soft starting , causing ignition of the burner supply, if i switch of and leave it for ten minutes when restarted its ok again, this can happen all day/night , but if left to restart normally after the first time it will always go straight to main gas flow as above.

I'm looking for a solution to the same problem I think. The gas ignites inside the burner distribution tube. I.E. just after the gas leaves the main jet. It sounds like someone has a parrafin blow-lamp going in the room! The gas pressure is exactly correct 13.4mb. The burner has been replaced because this same thing happened on the previous burner.
Any Ideas anyone?

proceedure is pilot, soft start gas flow, full gas flow.
but mine is as above.

not sure i understand what you mean, but there isn't much to these boilers so it's most likely a fault with the gas valve by the sounds of things.
