My Fujitsu Amilo M3438G laptop screen is blank, I can see nothing though I laptop seems to have booted and using a combination of tab and enter I have heard the windows login dingle.

How can I work out if it's the screen or the backlight and how can I make it use the second monitor I have plugged in.
