I have this model of GE Spacemaker. When the lower part of my handle became detached from the door, I was able to repair it myself. I had to pry the interior facing of the door apart from the door's frame, using a small metal putty knife and a large, screwdriver. This allowed limited access to the interior screws that hold the handle onto the door. I was able to use a slightly larger screw, in place of the original screw, to re-secure the handle. It's not exactly a professional technique, but the handle is holding as well as a new one would!
