IBM THINK PAD 600?

I Follow what i read on the page and it did correct the problem, the cmos bat and the fan are related in a way probably the program that tells the fan when to kick in was not kicking in because the cmos batt was not in place and you get the 192 code. which when you replace the batt which i did it kind of corrected the problem.
everything started up and working fine. the only problem is when i do the check on the bios the error comes up the same numbers, is there away to reset so that this numbers go away or is it telling me that there is another problem ?

thank you for the info it help me alot to get the lap top going.
I got the BATT but i was not going to pay the $45 that Best Buy
was selling it for, got it for under $10 at Batt Plus .

In regards to the battery, it is normally a Std CR2032 (or CR2025) worth $3. If you are handy with a soldering iron, you can save $$$.

Suggest you download the TP600 Hardware Maintenance Manual from www.lenovo.com and follow the diagnostic procedure. Otherwise you are using a technique called 'poke & hope' which mostly doesn't work.
