mine did same thing. There are two slots on bottom of bezel. Service man told me to take flat screw driver and insert into slots and pry upward to disengage each side. I had to get two screw drivers and pry up at same time. Be careful not to inser too deep as my screw driver slide under the plastic edge of the next layer bezel but I noticed it in time to not do any damage. Bezel pops off. To replace hood top edge first then press bottom in place.
The white bracket underneath that holds the switches have thin plastic pins that hold the switches. They break very easily. Order part 2180226 from Whirlpool to replace. I found all pins on mine and glued with epoxy. Works now.
