well when you take the crank case off there will be a metal coil that is the wind spring in it to recoil the string well thats is going to be your hardest thing to do you simply get a battery drill and close the chuch on to the coil wind it up as tightly as you can get it then hook it to both the case and wheel for the string and carefully replace it in the case it is very difficult and annoyying if you do it wrong
