caroma uniset overflow?

Hi,
I have a drip through the internal overflow in a caroma uniset toilet cistern. I have replaced the ball cock washer but it never quiet turns the valve off. It will turn off if I lift the float arm WELL above where it would normally stop but I cant get the bugger to turn completely off when the float reaches its highest point.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Requires small soldering iron.

I found a band aid solution.
Go back to where you have removed the washers.
There is a small inlet hole beneath the black washer.
It is in the shape of a small volcano (ie cone).
There will be a tiny crack (2 to 3 mm).
You may have to use a magnifying glass but the crack will be discolored.
Next is tricky. Skillfully melt the plastic and fuse the crack, 'grafting' some more plastic into that area.
Smells like a burnt toothbrush.
Sandpaper off any high spots around the perimeter of the hole.
Reassemble (with fingers crossed).
I had nothing to loose. This was my last attempt and it was successful.
