i keep blowing a fuse?

i have a dvd player (xms-888).
fuse went. it was a 250 volt L2T? M205
replaced fuse with a 250 volt 2A M205.
still keeps blowing the fuse. is it the right one?
what simple things to look for, & where? eg diodes.
& how to test them?
i have a small multi-meter.

there may be some object inside the dvd player ie. dust particles,or hair which may be resting on 2 seperate solder points causing it to short out.try blowing clean the boards to get rid of dust inside.

It needs to be quite something to take out a 2A fuse. Before ytou start testing diodes (Why?) look for a mechanical jam or a dead short somewhere - possible in the powerd supply. If you don't understand these tips stay out of the box you could get a nasty shock at least.
