Ideal classic rs 40 boiler?

I have a rs40 which will not fire up. The pilot light is lit and the pump is running. I have seen another forum answer the same question saying its the thermocouple? but I thought if the thermo failed the pilot light would go out?

try the over heat reset button on the inside of the flap right hand side of the stat box its red and can be pushed in with your finger
