I have an RCA Pearl T1702 and every time i turn it on, it freezes on the opening screen. I've tried turning off then back on, i've tried taking out the battery, I've tried blowing in all the open areas to remove dust, i've tried leaving the battery out overnight, i've tried hooking it up to the computer, and i can't find a 'reset' button.

After searching the web and finding nothing but your question... I was ready to go buy a different one but on a leap of faith. I plugged it into the USB.. Dont know how, but after opening the player from "My Computer" and closing it using "safely remove Hardware" it works like it did when it was new. I know you said you tried this but did you open the file like I did? Give it a shot.... Good luck
