I have got a Genexxa 4900 Cd player. When I put a CD in it says no disc on the display. Why?

It used to playnormal audio CDs but now it does not play them. I think it might be the laser.

Are you putting an incompatible disc in there? Some Cd players can only play audio CDs and CD-Rs, but some of them can't play CD-RWs. If you are trying to play a burned disc, check the label on the front to make sure you can play it.
