Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard "clean" led flashing?

Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard: "clean" indicator led flashing, will not start a cleaning cycle. Is there a reset somewhere for the computer?
Harvey Beaudoin, May 2006
i've been using this remedy successfully but now the "clean" light blinks and the reset never occurs. Any ideas? Thanks for helping we of little knowledge and expendable cash!

Missi,

I ran into the same problem and did not have the owners manual on hand as the dishwasher was in the house when we purchased it. Your directions have it running now. Thanks!

This worked for me... No thank to Sears, those hookers would not tell me anything, except we can schedule you a repair and bend you over while were at it. I am glad I stumbled across this, before I got burnt for more than just a heater element.

Thanks fuys

I had the same problem with the clean light flashing. Your trick of hitting normal wash and heated dry several times followed by 'cancel' worked, thanks,

This isn't an answer, but a thank you for an answer. Our dishwasher did the same thing, and of course Sears wanted to send a repairman out. The last 3 times we had them here, they didn't fix it, why would they fix it this time? Anyway, hopefully this will fix our less than 3 yr. old dishwasher!

Harvey,

I had the same problem. To clear the error you need to close the machine, hit heated dry then normal wash, then heated dry-normal wash again. All lights will light up. Then hit cancel. Once the cancel light goes out, about 2 minutes, you should be good to go. You get this error code when the water temp entering the dishwasher is too low. Try running your sink on hot for a few seconds before starting your dishwasher or turning up your water heater a few degrees.
