hoover 654 wd sensor dry no heat on t dry?

can any one help please.i have a hoover washer dryer 654 sensor dry .the tumble dry is working as i can see the air blowing on the cloths, problem is they are still damp and cold .i have spun them again as per instructions but they wont dry ,i also tried just 1 item of clothing just to make sure its not overloaded still cold and damp even on full temp /time.any ideas pleeeease.also how do i get the lid off if i need to

its probably the same problem i have had 8 warranty callouts for, the machines overheat and trip out the overheat switch on top of the element. on the top inside the top cover on the right hand side is an overload switch that a little buton pops out of when its overheated, reset that and you are away, until next time, the top cover slides back some how and the power needs to be off but i would say you need a qualified repair man to do it.
