Just a note to all who tried to help, I've discovered what the problem was....It was plugged into a surge protector extension lead and that kept interupting the signal, I hope this info may help someone else, and thank you to all who tried to help me.

First of all I agree that you may have too many tuners on the same feed. I suggest that you check your aerial alignment and install a signal booster preferably at the masthead

Having said that I disagree with practically everything else in the previous answer including: "i know what im talking about"

The OP was taking about a box attached to an aerial and so was NOT: "in the wrong categorie , by the way , (satellite recivers) is the one you want" . If the box is attached to an aerial, then in the UK it almost certainly a Freeview box.

Next: "UK TV providers" are NOT "moving over to the system called narvision3" - or even Nagravision to give it its proper name. Nagravision is an encryption system and Freeview is not encrypted and so the advice about not buying boxes is just plain WRONG.

the problem looks like you have too many boxes running of the same line on a splitter, makeing the signal weak. but new there is a new problem comming up in the uk , for the boxes"" uk tv providers are moveing over to the system called narvision3 and no boxes out there can read this system, so dont get any more boxes because they wont work, this system has being running here in ireland for over a year now so i know what im talking about,, if you sill have all your channells , your doing well , oh your in the wrong categorie , by the way , (satellite recivers) is the one you want , mick
