Power fault on Logik LDVR808 DVD recorder?

my logik ldvr808 DVD recorder will not switch on, there is power to the internal fuse which is ok. Is there a way of testing where the fault is for possible blown diode or capacitor on the power switch circuit? The power light does not illuminate.

Seems to have replacement power boards but i have no idea how you would get them from this comp.

If you can find out what the trans is on the board try to replace that first.
