I have had my car for just over a year and the previous owner used it as a mobility car. There was only 9,000 miles on the clock ... hardly used.
I am having problems with the cd section of the inbuilt car stereo. On long journeys when playing a cd, a message comes up TOO HOT. The cd is extremely hot to the touch and my garage guy tells me not to play the cd's as I am risking a fire hazzard with the electrics.
With the car being a late 2006, its just over 3 years old which means the warranty will have expired.
Is this a design fault with Renault? The garage guy suggested I send the cd player to Renault for inspection but I'm not guaranteed a replacement and it leaves me tuneless on my long journeys. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
