my cd player will not grab the cd when inserted?

I have burned CD's and my car cd player will not grab the cd whe inserted in the player.

jane have you tryed diffrent brands cause some cd players dont play copyed disks. all you mite find tesco disc ok and asda dont work.
and have you burned them as mp3 files not all players
can play mp3.
