fixing of storage heater to wall?

In installing a storage heater inside my summerhouse, can I screw it to the internal wooden lining of the wall or do I have to put a plasterboard panel between? The storage heater is intended to be screwed for safety.

If it has a triangle with an 'F' inside it, you can mount it directly to the wood. I suspect being a heater it won't, or might have a triangle with an 'F' with a cross through it, in which case you would need to mount it to a non-flammable surface.

Storage heaters tend to be very heavy - summerhouse walls and plasterboard tend to be somewhat weak.

Perhaps a horizontal wooden batten or board screwed firmly across a couple of existing uprights will provide a more secure fixing.

But the concept of a storage heater in a summerhouse seems bizarre - you will lose a lot of heat and needlessly waste money unless you insulate walls and ceiling.

Good luck...
