My Sonicare is starting to wobble ?

Is there a way to open it up and tighten the stem from the inside?
Tom English, March 2010
Thanks Charles, I was able to remove the insides and tighten the screw. Much better now.

Hi, I just fixed mine. Used a small flat head screw on the bottom to get the hard plastic center to pry out of the outer shell. As soon as it is loose, it will easily slide out. The small screw is at the base of the brush mount. tighted 1/8 of a turn. Now the toothbrush head is solid. Easy fix

Rachel you are brilliant! Just fixed mine with your instructions. :)

I can't believe I was going to throw it away for the sake of tightening a tiny screw! Also discovered the battery is a replaceable rechargeable AA!

I know this is an old post but I saved quite a bit of money fixing mine. I called that phone number and they were quite nice but of course mine was out of warranty. They offered a coupon for a new one so I had nothing to lose in taking it apart. It is actually very simple and well built. Carefully pry the inards from the bottom. The whole thing is one assemly inside with an o ring sealing the bottom. When I pulled it out a screw and a fidley bit came out as well. I screwed the bit back in place near the top. The only place it could go. Works like new. Wish I could post pictures for you.

I have the same problem. Phillip should offer a recall

I also have the same loose stem problem. I called the company, and they are sending a new body.

My Sonicare was also wobbly. I looked up that my HealthyWhite powerhead model HX6730 was covered under a 2 year warranty. I called the warranty number 1-800-682-7664. I got someone right away and a new toothbrush base is coming my way for free. I just have to send the broken one back after receipt of the new head. Thank you Phillips Sonicare!

Did you get anywhere with your wobbling Sonicare? Mine is doing the same thing (the wobble is so bad that it throws the brush head off!) so if anyone had any bright ideas I would love to hear them.....
