My electric toothbrush sits on its charging base all the time. The green light is on. This unit is 10 years old. The tooth brush will not go on when the button is pushed anymore. Does battery inside toothbrush need occasional replacement. I still have brochure, but no help at all for trouble shooting. Do these toothbrushes just wear out eventually? Thank you.

The battery has died, I am surprised it lasted that long, mine normally goes after 2 years
