How can I fix my Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher DC 23?

My dishwasher(Hotpoint Aquarius dishwasher DC 23) has stopped working. The main problem seems to be that there is no water getting in to the dishwasher. There is water going through the pipe which is connected from the dishwasher to the water source under my sink

By the way, the screws are "star T20" and you need to run it with the side off to see where the leak is - forgot to say that!

I've had the same problem. You must take off the top - it slides backwards a few inches once you have released the 2 clips at the back - pres them gently up with a screwdriver and pull the lid back. The you need to take off the left side (as you look at the front of the dishwasher) by undoing the 2 screws on its front edge. Looking into the left side there is a platic rod aboit 1/3 rd of the way back from the front. Follow it down until you can see a grey plastic lever attached to the bottom of the rod. Under the grey lever is a styrofoam float. If you have a leak in your dishwasher the float rises, pushes up the red rod and this actuates a microswitch that makes the machine pump out cos it thinks its flooded. Run the dishwaser with the side off if there is water in the bottom. My leak was from the open pipe top left of the flat plastic pipe assembly. If the top left of this assembly is dirty there is a red float in there which is sticking and you have 2 choices. Take the assembly off and spend some time cleaning it with hot water or try a commercial dishwasher cleaner. Failing that its a new assembly. Hope that helps.
