my console when on charge only charges for a second then light goes out this happens every time i repeat charge did this for an hour and had enough charge to start console

Your DS Lite is bricked. This means your software is damaged. But first check to make sure your battery is full and charges ok. Software issues are very hard to fix on your own. www.nabilselectronics.com
