Ryobi petrol strimmer?

My starter cord on my Ryobi petrol strimmer won"t recoil/rewind. Is something jammed or broken? How do I fix it ?

I have had the same problem. When I dis-assembled the strimmer head, I found that the starter rope re-coil was seized at the inner shaft. It looks like a plastic bearing may have melted. I am trying to confirm the fault and source a new replacement part.
