I am almost certain that the flush handle on my toilet doesnt rise enough after its flushed, so that it wont flush the next time. If you manually lift the handle and then flush its fine. Im assuming this is relatively easy to fix but i have no idea what to do. Any tips would be gratefully received as single mum and my local plumber wanted to charge me £45 just to come and look to see what the problem is. Really cant afford that at the moment along with the repair bill and was hoping i would be able to do it myself! (fingers crossed and a lot of luck, lol)

cistern only filling up half way.I push the ball down and hold it to take it up to the proper level. Also,
When I flush it the handle dosen't have the same resistance as before and i have to repeat pulling the handle 3 0r 4 times for it to release the water.

sounds like the spring has failed on the syphon or not push the diaphragm back down.
