I cannot reduce the pressure on my boiler even after bleeding the radiators, is there something simple I can try before calling in a professional? Or is it completely broken ....

filling loop (the bit you use to top the pressure up) may be passing or plate heat exchanger may be burst. try disconnecting the filling loop hose to prove if it's passing, be ready to turn the water mains off in case it is.
if it keeps going up even with the filling loop disconnected then you need a new plate heat exchanger.
