Having downloaded the instructions to enter a code I cannot get past the " Cod < > " stage to start entering code numbers.

switch on the radio press(P1) until the display shows 'cod'
Press the station increment button until you reach (first) digit then press(P1)
Press the station increment button until you reach (SECOND) digit then press(P1)
Press the station increment button until you reach (third) digit then press(P1)
Press the station increment button until you reach (forth) digit then press(P1)
The set should now operate
