After about 30 seconds of turning the appliance on, the fan kicks in and makes a really loud buzzing noise and it won't stop. I have tried everthing apart from taking it to the shop to be repaired which I am sure will cost a fortune. Please can you help.

when i put a disc in it comes up on the screen rear chk. and wont play . is this a setting iv overlooked , it seemed to happen when i played a copied disc, please help many thanks...

The fan is very similar to pc fans (81mm). Disconnect power first.There are 5 screws on the black cover (one on each sde,3 in back), then tilt cover up and off. Unplug fan, unscrew from chassis, and take the fan to someplace like Radio Shack and replace it. Apparently, it is a common problem with this system.
