I am thinking of buying a car from a private sale and the owner says he does not have the code for the stereo. I was wondering if there are any circumstances that would not be able to be sorted out regarding this? You guys seem to be geniuses when it comes to finding the code but do you think there could be any circumstances where I could be buying a dud?

It just says CODE? when you switch it on?

How hard would it be to find out the serial number before I buy it to test to see if I can get it working?

sally if its say LOCKED13 then it will cost. cheaper to buy a new radio. you can pick up ford one for £20 allday long.

if you remove stereo and then get serial no. which starts with m and has six digit no then me or someone will get your code no.
