It is probably the belt that is on the pulley that links the motor movement to the mixer of your breadmaker has worn out (ie stretched or broken), see if you can unscrew the plate at the bottom that accesses the motor and pulley area and you should be able to see. You might be able to get a replacement belt from an appliance repairer or the distributor. Wouldn't cost you more than $10 to replace.
