The timer works, but the paddles don't turn, so I'm trying to repair it (I am a chartered engineer!) Have got the metal pan hood off, and the 3 screws for the upper case - but can't get this upper case off - presumably it is clips that need brute force to pull it up - but I seem likely to damage the case if i lever it up... anyone know the correct procedure?

Warning! This is no longer a feasible item. The paddle, the  mixing/cooking bowl uses a spray on  the protective layer of teflon. Barred in the USA!! The sprayed teflon deteriorates, peels and flakes into the product been cooked.
It is then absorbed into the bowel lining, there it waits for the trigger to wake up , changing a cells metabalisum, to create rampant cell growth.
Cancerous Cells Growth!!

The most annoying thing is: this was a very good machine.
it was adaptable to the point, you could programme it to your own mix warm delay cook times. truly a great bit of kit!

just a pity it's a killers in sheep's clothing.

I finally tried force - and found the problemwas simply that the 3 screw pillars fitted into holes, and were not butt jointed, and had stuck! Top came off fine after that
The problemis that the triac controlling the motor is pernamently on, tho it tests ok, and I have no schematic to trace why.... so I am spending my life tracing the schematic from the PC board. Aint life fun!
