re-tensioning the bottom spring?

when replacing pull cord, if the bottom spring gets sprung ho do you re-tension the spring so the cord works.

You need to engage the starter cord into the cut a way in the starter pulley and wind the pulley which will wind the spring underneath up, do not wind the spring up to the point of coil binding the spring, put the cord back through the cover eyelet and allow the spring to re wind the cord
