How do I change a modern duel flush top only?

How do I strip and change the silver plastic top of a modern duel flush toilet system. I cannot get the old one appart. Thanks

it will either pop out or use a fine levering tool to get under the buttons and they should just pop out... failing that the other option is the whole thing might just unscrew ....
