how to fix my transit?

After being advised to change the fuel filter on my van i am now unable to start the vehicle at all what could be the problem? .

Maybe worth removing filter again and priming with fuel, refit and give it a go,you didn`t say what model or year it was or if you had made sure the filter was bled through,some transits have a hand primer
