when i try to exit yahoo games, the browser seems to hang and in order to exit I have to use control, alternate and delete keys at which time task manager helps be get out. What can i do to fix?

A lot of times, malware can cause freezing issues with IE. It is really a malware magnet, so if that's the browser you're using... you probably have problems. I use Spybot Search & Destroy. It's free to download and free to update. Get it here:

Try updating IE from the microsoft site. Do the same with Direct X or try using another browser like Firefox or Opera. They can both be downloaded for free.
