How can I replace chimes that have fallen out of my grandfather clock?

I have a very old grandfather clock. It was recently given to me by my father. I don't know much about clocks, but this clock has chains and two weights. I have noticed that two of the chimes are inside of the clock at the bottom like they have fallen out. I don't think that they are broke. How do I put these chimes back into the clock? Thanks

If you are talking about the long, black chime rods that the hammers strike then they me be broken. Chime rods are very delicate at the tops, only about 1/8" in diameter so they will brake off if not handled properly. This is why a grandfather clock must be properly packed for moving. If these are the rods you will need to replace them with new ones. The steel chime block that held them will have brass screws in it that once held the rods. You will have to remove them and replace the rods in the block. You can get new rods at Timesavers.com or any other clock parts suppliers.
