broken l2 component on ds lite?

can anyone suggest how to fix a componenet that broke off the l2 slot on the board of the ds lite? It was dropped, and then would not power on. heard a rattle noise, opened up and found small component broken off the l2 slot. does not look like can be soldered back on, but when holding the pieces together on board, the unit does power back up...

heard of using the "circuit writer" pen on fuses (f1/f2) for unit that blinks and dont come on, but not sure if same thin applies here... any help?

Unless you put the piece that broke off where it belongs, the unit won't work correctly. I do not know exactly what piece broke off. I've seen some of the big black voltage regulators break off the board before and we can usually fix that. But unless you have the right soldering equipment and know what you're doing, you can actually do more damage. www.nabilselectronics.com
