the tap that feeds my water to the w,machine is leaking from inside the tap . do i have to change the whole tap , if so how is that done

most washing machines take in cold water from the mains via a in-line valve ,so turn off mains feed stop valve ( usually in kitchen ) slacken washing machine- in line valve & drain surplus water in piping --- If you buy a new valve in aDIY store like B&Q the instructions are usually displayed - if not ask the Plumbing customer support guy to explain everything in detail
