help with a nikkai cd player. it says "tel call"?

Hi,i sold a nikkai a87fn cd player that i removed from a car i brought.It was in good working order before i removed it and now the new owner says they are having problems with it and all it says is "tel call"Im not very good with stereo systems and im unsure how they have set it up/wired up.Does that wording mean anything to do with a telephone call?Any help please?

I think that these radio/CD players were sold by Maplin Electronics.

What I do know about Nikkai is that allegedly they used to buy-up Japanese tooling for last years TV models and build the sets in Turkey where labour is cheaper.

I have exaclty the same problem with my Tevion Car Radio/CD player (model MD-80371).
It had been working fine for about 2 yrs, then around late april/early may it started displaying "Tel Call" and refusing to work as a radio or CD player.

Don't know how it got into that mode, but it sure doesn't want to come out of it no matter what I try.

Help!!
