cleaning vent axia extractor fan?

my wall mounted vent axia extractor fan in kitchen soon picks up grease and other cooking residues.i clean it with a damp sponge and detergent but it never does the job properly.is it possible to disassemble front louvres to wash in sink? not sure of model

I cleaned mine yesterday and had a hard time of it, but got there in the end!
In the sink is no good, the grease just goes harder and sticks to everthing. use wd40 or a good lemon base detergent, spray and wipe spray and wipe, then clean off in the sink in soapy water. watch you don't lose the screw in the sink like I did ;-) oh and be gentle with the blades lol good luck

We have a window mounted fan that also picks up grease, etc and was always difficult to clean by hand. However, it was a great success when we put the fan blade assembly and both of the louvred covers in the dishwasher. Bingo! They came out like new!
