Mira Essentials Shower (9.5KW) electrical failure?

Wonder if anyone can help? I have an Essentials shower, only a couple of years old. Switched it on from the switch outside the bathroom but the shower wouldn't work. The orange indicator light doesn't come on. I've checked the electrical connections from the fuze to the switch and the connections in the shower itself....Both appear fine. Using a volt meter confirmed there was 'juice' getting to the unit.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the delay...been working Nightshift. On the basis of your answer I had another ferret around. Transpired th problem was with the DP Switch ( The contacts had melted through but it wasn't apparent!) Simply changed the DP switch and voile...Shower now works!! Many many thanks again for your time. You have saved me a small fortune. Much appreciated.

Kind regards

Charley
