How can I hang anything on my concrete walls?!?

Hi

I think I have the hardest concrete walls ever made. To top it off the plaster over the concrete is old and crumbly. Therefore, I cant get a drill into the concrete so the drill bit just makes a wider and wider hole as the plaster powders away.

The worst thing is curtain poles. Ive managed to get some up but eventually theyve fell down along with a piece of plaster!

I thought about a wooden baton, but would that need drilling and screwing too? ive just tried some polycell stuff thats like blutack that sets? but I dont have much faith in how its looking. Any help would be great.

you will have to use the right drill bits, for this job ,the drill you are useing is only for light work , if you go to the tool hire shop . ask for a drill that takes sds drill bits, rent out the drill with the sds bits , and you wont have a problem drilling this wall . and yes a little plasted may fall off , but you can fix that after you have drlled the holes , just get the right raw plugs and drill 2 to 3 ins deep, and it will hold up any curtain poll . i use the kind of drill all the time , and never met a wall it wont go into easy , oh its not a big drill . just normal size , but its the right bits thats does the job , not the drill
