My room thermostat has stopped working and to turn the heating on I have used the override switch, what should I do next?

You maybe incorrect in that assumption, when you overide have you turned down, then up, the stat to see if you have control of the boiler, allow some time for the stat to shut boiler down or switch off pump then raise it to fire boiler again.It sounds to me like a programmer fault so have an electrician check it out.
