Before you press start button there will be a light blinking on the left of the top row. When you press start is there a beep and the light stops blinking? If no then the start switch or the display panel PCB is faulty possibly due to corrosion. If there is a beep and light does stop blinking then the fault will be some where else. You should then get an error code come up.
